Is this just an issue with snes9x? Should I dump it and find another emulator? I've heard about bsnes, but I'm not sure if I would just have the exact same problems.

I've looked up drivers (the Arctis controller has none apparently), I have it set to Joystick #1, I have "use SNES Joypads" on, Windows is updated, the controllers install correctly every time I plug them in, I've used the Arctis controller with the Dolphin emulator. I can remap buttons to my keyboard perfectly fine. If I get the error, close the input window, and open it again without closing the emulator, the ghost input will not happen again. After that point, none of my other clicks to remap other buttons to the controller register, and I have to close the emulator and try again (getting the exact same results every time). The second I click, it instantly registers that I'm inputting joystick left, when in reality, I've touched nothing at all. Both controllers work on other games just fine.īut when I go to the menu where I can map buttons, the second I click on the first button to remap, this happens: I've also tried both of them in different ports. I've tried 2 different controllers, one an old generic Logitec playstation-type, the other, a newer Arctis Stratus Duo xbox-type (which I've tried both wired and wireless). So I'm trying to map a controller and having the weirdest issue. I've done hours of google searching and looking through this reddit to see if I could find any solutions, but here I am haha.

The best controller is a usb adapter to be honest. You need something more like what the psx does with 4 actual buttons. You will always hit up when going right and produce a up/right. The reason is there is no defined right left up or down. Detailed description of the problem at hand Yes it will work in some emulators but for the most parts it evil. When posting troubleshooting questions, please provide all information possible.

Ok so I bought a logitech USB controller to use with the Snes9x emulator.
